WORKSHOP TOPICS

During the 4 sessions of this program a range of important topics will be discussed, including:

You and Your Child: Styles of parenting, ages and stages of development, building a bond with your child, the method of choice
Preventing Problems: Your child’s beautiful brain, using nonviolent discipline, the “A-C-T” of parenting
Encouraging Positive Behavior: The power of encouragement, choices and consequences, caring for the caregiver
Carilion Children’s Safe Kids Child Safety Topics
Adverse Childhood Experiences Training

Please note that the workshop itself is free, however there is a $10 material fee. If this presents a financial hardship, you will be able to request financial assistance during the online parenting workshop registration process.
