WORKSHOP TOPICS

Raising teenagers in today’s world can be one of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences faced by parents. Research has shown that parents of teenagers can have a strong, positive influence in preventing their children from destructive behaviors and in assisting them in developing into healthy adults.

Active Parenting of TEENS is a 4 session workshop that allows parents to come together and enhance the skills needed to help teens successfully transition into well-adjusted adulthood.

The major topics of discussion in these workshop sessions include:
  • Solving problems through effective communication

  • Insight into today’s teen issues and culture

  • Talking, listening & communicating WITH your teen

  • Building character: cooperation, courage, mutual respect, decision making and self-esteem

  • Direction with discipline

Please note that the workshop itself is free, however starting in March of 2022, we will be charging a $20 material only fee. If this presents a financial hardship, please reach out to discuss, as we certainly do not want this small cost to prevent anyone from attending the workshop.
